This doesn’t mean driving in a ride share isn’t safe. In fact, as far as I can tell, it seems kind of irrelevant to the story. someone shot into another car on Vine Street expressway. That’s what happened and probably 100,000 cars passed through there today. So…… it’s still pretty darn safe.

It would be relevant if the driver had opps and was targeted. It also could be they are a crappy driver and it was road rage. It sounds like the car was targeted and not caught in crossfire, but this article is light on details.

I did and it's not clear, it just says "The rideshare driver told police that the gunman was driving by them in another vehicle when they opened fire."
