Generally a dog sitting funny is a bad sign, could be indicative of a number of health problems, almost certainly indicates the dog is experiencing discomfort

My parents have one and they really are. Really friendly, and they're gun dogs so they like pointing at things and love fireworks night. They also sulk if you tell them off or leave them alone too long.
