I'm not gifted in the drawing department. I'm so proud of her! She usually draws more cartoonish stuff but that's just for fun.

14 is about the time when I got into art pretty heavy. I'm rooting for ya. I hope the kid gets lots of cool supplies for her projects. It might be a good time to introduce digital art right now too. That should keep em busy and motivated for a while 😎

She loves drawing on her phone. I offered to get her a drawing tablet or whatever she'd need, but she said she prefers her phone so I'm like okay whatevs πŸ’ƒ

This just triggered a childhood memory for me. Feels reminiscent to a strawberry in a children's book I read when young. Maybe something with a mouse in it. Dang.

Searched mid-typing: "The Little Mouse, The Red Ripe Strawberry, and The Big Hungry Bear"

My daughter also made wonderful art around that age, later went to art school, and now has a career that uses those skills. I hope your kid reaches her artistic goals, whatever they are.

Right now she wants to do animation or comics, I think. I'm glad she's still taking art classes in school so it forces her to learn skills outside of her wheelhouse.
