There are criminal empires that use construction companies as a front. It'd make sense for hitmen to dump bodies in an active excavation site.

We build alot on drilled pier foundations around here. Dumping a body down a 24" dia hole going down to bedrock, which you're about to fill with concrete, seems pretty foolproof
