They are 3 years old now. That was enough for us though.

This photo was of them in a petri dish prior to being transferred to my wife's uterus.

My son has twins. It really is amazing to watch them grow. I still can't tell them apart. Congrats to you.

Thanks! We were fortunate to have a boy and a girl. It's fascinating watching them develop at different speeds in different ways.

Wait so we’re two eggs placed into the petri dish? Based on the pic I was assuming that the eggs split, but if that were the case they would be the same gender.

No, two eggs were fertilized separately. The one photo that looks like two eggs is a "hatching" blastocyst coming out of its casing.
