This is an amazing job, very well done!

I am curious, are those real wood planks, and if so, have you had to work around some weight issues regarding registration?

2 questions, are you shorter than normal, because the bed is orientated across the width of the van so you could never sleep stretched out if you are over 5'6"?, and, has the kitchen block completely cut off access to the side door?

Superb!

What resources did you use to guide the build process?

I really love this kind of work. Very Vantasic!

If you have an estimate, how much did it cost?

Hey, dont know which kind of van they used, but i converted one with my girlfriend a couple years ago and depending on the Model you can get quite good bed length. We used a Peugeot boxer and have a bed of 1,90m which equals something around 6‘2“.

Holy shit OPs account is like 3 years old and has 35k post karma and 1,800 comment karma, and all posts and comments have only ever been about this converted van.

If y'all wanted to know the answer to any questions about this van, check OPs history. He's answered them all like 14 times each.

Where l live, vehicles get registered in weight classes, and if a big van exceeds a certain weight limit you'd have to have a driver's licence equivalent to that, like a trucking licence or bus driver's licence.

I don't know if those regulations are universal

How expensive is van life in the UK? Or is it just for casual trips?

I'm sure the weight of everything in the conversion of this van doesn't exceed the rated load capacity. All that stuff isn't really that heavy. It can hold a lot more, and still probably has enough oomph to pull a trailer.

This is still classified as class C automobile in America, at least. An ordinary car that requires an ordinary license. If be surprised if the whole thing is 6000 pounds with everything installed. There are some big cars at that weight.

How much Mold does it have, since you didn’t install an extractor over the stove? Oh? You never used it? Sounds like any other overlander van owner, asphalt only, and strictly no overlanding!
