Jesus. Don't let George Lucas find out. He will show up at your door with a CGI team.

Well yes. It was from that era, but it's the OG version. Rare as hen's teeth these days and before it was improved beyond recognition.

I rmember going to see it in the theater with my dad. Hokey as the fx were at the time it was mind blowing.

That's an amazing piece of history.

Cherish it and pass it on to your descendants.

I'd love to be able to watch all of the original versions again.

If you know how to pirate movies (or know someone who does), the original versions are still floating around out there.

Also you can find the de-specialized easily enough, which I've heard is pretty amazing (but you probably know that).

My Beta-Max copy growing up had the spooky, trippy HBO intro.

Just trying to remember...do the credits say "Episode 4"? I feel as if they only added that in the much later re-releases.

That had to have been expensive as fuck! Let alone what a VCR would cost in 1982.

It's interesting to see "starring Peter Cushing". I guess he was more famous back then but even today I had to google him since I didn't know what character that was.

We had some neighbors down the street that my mom was friends with. Nice house with a gorgeous pool. The husband was a dentist.

They had this VHS tape and when they put it on it was like magic.
