This is what it's like to be a house that gets like 6 trick or treaters max.

profstenny t1_iufifc8 wrote

This. Growing up our house was set way back from the road, and no one new we were there so we would get the same 5 kids from church, so they got some baller home made candy sacks.

Popcorn balls... it was popcorn balls wasn't it?

Hey, that paper sack of candy didn't smell like Halloween unless it included the aroma of stale popcorn. You didn't eat popcorn balls. You enjoyed their ambience. They're like Halloween air fresheners.

I usually get about 30-40, hopefully it’s a good turnout

10

Quadruplem t1_iugasar wrote

Very cool! My partner and I both bought candy separately (and I went a bit crazy since I love Halloween) so we will have about 3 handfuls per kid to give out.

I’ve had zero in that same time.

Not a single one since I moved out of my parents house.

Come to think of it none when I lived there either because I lived in the middle of nowhere

2

agasizzi t1_iuidsmy wrote

That's what I was thinking. My house is about 1/8 mile down a driveway, anyone who bothers to take that walk down a spooky drive deserves some loot.

Yea I was about to say. I could give out $20 bills and I will be short $0-$40.

thanks.. they were appealing bc I love blueberry muffins and I love kit kats - but the combo sounded kind of weird..

my favorite Halloween candy - milky way dark.. they're amazing.. last Halloween was the 1st time I tried it - haven't had em since.. idk if they even still make them or if it was just a seasonal item.. I gotta look into that.. go stock pile em

1

[deleted] t1_iufma4f wrote

I’m guessing you’re talking about the Milky Way Midnight? They’re not seasonal, I buy them in convenience stores far more often than I should! They’re the only candy bar I eat anymore…now I really want one…

4

ABena2t t1_iufnzls wrote

lmao.. they're freaking amazing.. my wife does all the shopping so I don't really know what's in or what's out.. I don't even like milky ways that much.. last Halloween she got them in those mini size ones to hand out.. tried one and they were absolutely amazing.. by far my favorite candy bar.. wasn't sure if it was a Halloween thing or if they had em year round.. but now I want one too! lol

They're too sweet and taste like artificial flavoring. I mean idk what else I was expecting but i was still disappointed. The coating is that candy melt stuff which imo is always just meh. As far as other KitKat flavors go, I've liked matcha. Maybe it's the bitterness that makes it taste more balanced to me.

1

ABena2t t1_iufnpw3 wrote

didn't know they offered matcha tbh

1

Japan has a bunch. Ive gotten matcha flavored ones at an hmart, an Asian market, in Chicago
