I used to get several hundred in my old house. They would come by in groups of 10 or more and it was non-stop. We would sit outside with candy for 2 solid hours

You could have waited until tomorrow and got all they marked down and had plenty for yourself.

Be honest, you know you have too much and just wanted to justify buying a ton of candy.
It's half the fun of Halloween for adults. You never know how many trick or treaters could show up, perfect excuse.

EDIT: Here's a bit of background: I live in a suburb next to disneyland. My house is next to a massive public park. So my area gets thousands of trick or treaters a year.
