Hey OP, not sure if you're a MB fan and that's why your posting this, but Mercedes-Benz is at the front of a new movement of manufacturers restricting the use of the machine you bought from them unless you keep paying them.
Below is a link with some details. Personally I hope there is enough consumer backlash to kill this practice in the crib.
