There’s Hispanic Christmas cultural figures too, right? Why be mad an Eastern European Christmas character reflects its country of origin?

Do you also get mad at leprechauns not being Mexican during St Patty’s day?

Yeah that’s fair. When I saw the nutcrackers on the shelf it was more of like, “hey look at this black nutcracker surrounded by a bunch of white nutcrackers.” Then thought it led to a pretty reasonable pun - white privilege christmas. Then I got to spitballing about diverse nutcrackers which wasn’t really a part of my initial thought process at the store. So here I am explaining my thought process to a bunch of internet strangers trying to convince them my joke had merit. Thats pretty much it.
