Lox bagel with capers at a local restaurant is definitely going to be pricey

Any fish doesn’t sound like under 9.99 type meal.

Smoked salmon is like 40 bucks a pound the bagel is probably 5 bucks with cream cheese.

Yeah, the difference is a luxury food breakfast item and a staple food item that many people relied on to provide needed protein in their diets.

There's not one day in my LIFE I'd have been able to pay 20 dollars for that bagel and not just walk out of the store after saying "sorry, I didn't realize it was going to be 20 bucks to eat once."

A single bagel is probably 1 or 2 dollars maybe 3 or 4 at most. He just ordered it heated and prepared with smoked salmon which is expensive at a restaurant, way cheaper if you make yourself with grocery store lox and way way cheaper with Costco lox.

A non cash price adjustment is a charge that is incurred on credit/debit card purchases, not cash purchases

Eating at home is gaining a new popularity. I don't even want to go to McDonald's anymore because it's all kiosks and zero customer service. They don't even look at you anymore.

I'd be fine with the kiosks if it meant faster and more accurate service.

Spoiler alert: it doesn't

Misleading post, it seems your coworker did not just buy a bagel, but rather lox, which is a full meal that I would expect to be $15
