Are trying to show me that the wage is low or that chips and soda are exceedingly expensive in iran?

Kinda both of them... Cause meanwhile these two cost only 50 cents in USD but yet still it's sometimes too expensive for people cause the wages and whole economy is fucked up

For americans, it'd be 2 dollars on the left, 5 and a half dollars on the right. Still an hour of pay.

Well to be honest that wasn't a good representation. For instance, a 60 dollar boardgame if imported from amazon or some other website costs 20 million tomans or 200 rials which is almost 4 times an average salary.

Other examples, a video game if bought digitally costs almost a month's salary. Laptops and phones are expensive, Iphone 14 is sold at a price over 1700 dollars and it can't even support Iranian sim cards due the ban on luxury items. A mediocre second hand laptop with core i3 and some basic functions is sold as almost an average month's salary.

I could say meat in Iran is expensive and it could be the same in america, but a months salary in Iran is kinda lower or equal to a months rent in average parts of the big cities. Imagine that family of 3, would need to pay house bills, pay for food, school, laptop for the student (in the covid phones and laptop where a must and they were super expensive due to the Rial to Dollar exchange in imports), etc and they are left with nothing but loans and loans from banks.

The loans are an awful thing as well, imagine you have to pay almost 20% or even higher rate, more money to the bank for the loans they give. So basically the economy is in shambles and import goods are as high a months salary.
