Does anyone have experience at this auto auction? They have one coming up on March 10th and I’ve always wanted to go to one, but don’t even know what to expect or how it works. Any info appreciated!
Never been to the one in Perryopolis but I have been to auto auctions before. Check and see if you can look at the cars before the auction stars and get there as early as you can. If you are looking for a deal buy early. A lot of people will be gun-shy about spending money in the beginning of the auction.

If you don’t know how they work, I would strongly suggest staying away.
At any auction, you have the major players and bottom feeders looking for scraps. You are the retail customer that is trying to compete.
If you find something you like, you’re going to end up paying up for it because it likely is something that everyone else likes.
Also, keep in mind, if it’s at auction- someone didn’t want that car for some reason or another. You have to find out what the reason is before you buy it, or it will cost you a lot later.
I’d stick to trying to find a car you like through retail outlets. This isn’t Mac Bid, buying wholesale cars can be dangerous.

Worked for Manheim and Adesa for years. If you want to visit you can setup a viewing! I'd suggest not buying a vehicle through an auction unless you're extremely familiar with price flooring and vehicle repairs. Better to buy off mom and pop cash spots.
Even if you had access to the regular option it is extremely hard to purchase a vehicle at auction that doesn’t need a lot of work. Most cars bought at auction are sold for a loss by the dealer in hope to acquiring a trade or making money w financing and warranty. If you have cash stick to Facebook and Craigslist. However I see people listing their cars for above what dealers sell them on Craigslist.
