The only car wash I knew in the North Hills apparently got bought out and the new owners don't include an optional interior cleaning service (for a fee). I know there are free vacuums almost everywhere in Pittsburgh but what if someone just wants to be lazy and pay the extra fee for the interior to be cleaned as well? Are there any recommendations for any car washes in the Pittsburgh area that includes this service?

Fully aware that there are a lot of full scale detailers out there but not looking for such a deep clean (and those heightened prices). Any replies are greatly appreciated!

It’s not a thing here, even though that type of cleaning is easy to find in other places. You ask people about it here and they look at you like you have two heads.

That place in Allison Park was the only one I knew of and it’s gone. I think at this point, you either have to shell out for the detail or do it yourself unfortunately.

Well that's a bummer. Figured there'd had to be at least 1 remaining place that did it and Reddit would know. Seems like a decent business opportunity then?!

Mr. Clean Carwash in north versailles does it. not sure how much of a hike that is for you. they do a mini version of a detailing basically and it’s affordable and totally worth it

Oof. That's definitely a little bit of a hike. But then again I could use that drive as an excuse to pick up a pie from A Slice of New York. Thanks for the heads up!

I haven't seen that option anywhere. Out of curiosity, what was the price for interior cleaning?

Seems like it would be hard to offer a "kinda clean" middle ground between basic vacuuming and full detailing. I can imagine people complaining that their car isn't spotless after paying $10 or $20 extra.

The old place I believe it was $25 plus tip. Included full exterior wash and interior cleaning. Interior cleaning consisted of vacuuming, interior windows cleaned, and dressed the dash and jambs. Pretty simple stuff that I didn't mind paying $10 for.

Moved from NE NJ and all of the car washes have this option. It's actually the exact opposite of what we have here in Pittsburgh. Prices are the same and range between $20-30 for the exterior and interior.

Manual labor has gotten a lot more expensive in the past five years and I’ve noticed a lot of extra services are getting reduced.

I would totally pay for that too. Hope somebody can help you.

I’ll meet you at the car wash and vacuum your car and clean the windows for 50 bucks

$50 plus $20 for the wash gets me $30 away from a normal detail. Thanks but I'll pass.

Robinson Car Wash on 65 in Leetsdale used to do something like this but it seems they stopped during Covid.

I mustve been gone for a while because I can't even remember many places offering free vacuums as well with a car wash. Maybe thats changed. That would annoy me so much when I lived there.
