I was about a block away at 9AM and heard what sounded like 6 gunshots. I've been keeping an eye on news sources ever since, but nothing has come up.

Someone on Facebook said it was a shooting at the GetGo. It is supposedly closed now with caution tape around it.

Lovely. I’m at the clinic down the street and I overheard them talking about locking the doors.

My husband was at GetGo at the time. The shooter was outside in the parking lot and GetGo manager made all the customers inside go OUTSIDE to where the shooter was and they locked the doors. I get it is a confusing/scary situation but WHAT.

How about no?

What is the manager going to do? Call the cops? They’re on their way anyway.

Best thing to do is lock people inside esp in the back to keep them safe.

If this truly happened, and it probably did, that manager sucks pretty badly.

Always get a bad vibe at that Getgo. Probably because there’s always someone bugging people for money by the door or at the pumps

Shooting. Guy got shot in the arm and in the leg. Bleeding didn't look too bad and news said he was in stable condition when ambulance got him to the hospital.

Shooter drove or ran off very soon after the shooting.

Watchdog hangs around east liberty so much and every time he sees me he gives me the same spiel about who he is and how he's watching out for people. And I always reply as polite as possible like "Yeah man you've introduced yourself to me like 20 times so far." And every time he acts like he remembered me from the beginning, that we're good buds, and asks me for money.

And when I tell him I don't have any to give he no longer wants to be my friend apparently. Maybe I'm naive but I haven't gotten too bad of a vibe off of him considering circumstances.

I'd much rather deal with him than the old guy that used to (maybe still does?) hang out at the Sunoco on Highland begging to wash your windows. Super friendly until you said you didn't have cash and then he'd immediately give you a death glare while muttering as he shuffled back inside. Between him and their higher prices I haven't gone back there in years.

I don't want anyone to suffer and go hungry but my dude when I said I had $20 to last a week I meant it.
