I know it was brought up once before, and the solution is to sign onto a desktop and change some setting. I am primarily a mobile user so this hasn’t been a viable option for me.

The r/Pittsburgh sub crashes on me nearly each time when I try to access the home page.

Is there anything else to be done about this? Am I the only one?

I use the ReddPlanet app on iOS and the dev said it was the banner image causing it. There's some option he was able to set called "mobile_banner_image" and that fixed it from crashing anymore for me.

So it sounds to me that the mods need to just change the banner ? Right?

That or if you're using an app the dev needs to select that option i think.

Idk, I turned off the community setting and it keeps crashing. I messaged the mods about the banner. Hopefully that works. Thanks for your efforts

I only read the sub in a browser using the old.Reddit url. I don’t have community settings on either.

Use the web browser on your phone to bring up the desktop site for Reddit and edit there.
