I know it's fine and that expiry dates are more like guidelines. I've just never seen GE do this before.

I find expired food on the shelf at GE, WalMart, and Target.

I don't remember ever seeing that at Aldi's.

I once bought butter that expired two years prior at ALDI. Didn’t catch it until I noticed the butter looked very off then I checked the date.

community market in bloomfield (which is owned by GE) has been notoriously bad about this for me. it's the only place i've ever shopped at where i specifically check the expiration date of everything i pick up. definitely sucks as a customer.

It's not owned by GE. It's owned by a Jewish family close to the Shapiras and some of the other founding families and a lot of times (like the one in the Fox Chapel plaza) Giant Eagle pays the lease for Community to use the space so that way a friend is blocking the space from a larger competitor to take over.
