I know I know. I know arcade machines after a certain time are just the frame and a playstation, but money and space are a thing. Just really wanted to play a few rounds as Tron, black heart and ice man. I have friends who have never played. Wanted to school them, I may just have to cave and get a ps2 if I can find a copy of the game.

You can always just use fightcade. Takes few minutes to set up but once you get it going you have everything you want for the most part. Can also just use the emulator to play locally.

I looked it up and it seems for some reason, the games are very expensive. I only looked quickly but the ps2 version was 300$. For that and the cost of a Playstation, you might as well buy a can, or use an emulator and build one....

Yah thats some change. To think there used to be an online version for ps3. Damn, I'm probably gonna go emulator then. I do want a whole set up just because I love the game that much, but that's a down the road thing.

I don't know how much emulation you do, but if you're a big fighting came person, look into fightcade. Its basically an emulator setup for fighting games that has rollback netcode and matchmaking so you can play online against randos (or with friends!). The 1up arcades that were mentioned above are cool, but imo they are very over priced for the quality and what actually comes with them (they are also weirdly small imo)
