Does anyone know of any new mom groups or mommy and me classes here in Pittsburgh? Everything I’m finding online seems to have been canceled during the pandemic and hasn’t come back.

ETA : thanks for all the suggestions! I’ve been off Facebook for awhile but sounds like that’s why I haven’t been able to find some of these resources so I may rejoin!

This isn’t exactly what you’re looking for, but there is a Facebook group called Pittsburgh Mamas that has been helpful for all sorts of things, and will occasionally post about similar topics. Ive heard Hike It Baby is also popular. I’ve also seen people mention the Peanut app for new mom meet ups, but don’t personally have experience with that.

Seconding the mom's Facebook groups. They've been super helpful to me to find/recommend activities in the area. As far as mommy and me classes, we've done swimming through classes like British Swim School/Goldfish, but I've seen gymnastics/music classes as well. You might also have luck with library story times, but they can be hard to participate in if you happen to have a 9-5 schedule. My kids have loved them though when we could go.

What part of town are you looking?

Most libraries have resumed children programming; check out your local branch.

MOPS (Mothers of Preschoolers) is a decent organization to check out. Your child doesn't have to be a preschooler to attend.

I live in Morningside. We actually went to the library for story time yesterday and it was great!

You should check out Romp N Roll on Hamilton Ave! They have weekly infant sessions with music, bubbles, motor skill activities, etc. We loved it.

Check out littlesqueakers playgroup in Mside. She's also 412prekguru on Instagram. She has weekly meet ups. Functional Roots is another local mom that does out door meet up/camps for all ages.

It's on Facebook and it's New Mom's Tea now. You may need a reference to join so if you do just DM me and I'll add you in. It's been hugely helpful for me, especially when I was a brand new mom.

Not sure, but I'd recommend new parents to check their house for radon -- it can be worse for kids and is high in our area.
