And good luck with all the extra time for parts and labor due to short staff even when you do get in.

We hit one a week before Christmas last year. Nearly totaled it even though it was only body damage and it wasn’t legally drivable. Didn’t get the car back for over 6 weeks and that’s only because we were able to get in early due to a cancellation. The car insurance only covered a rental car for 30 days so I had to drive my wife to work for a couple weeks.

Yeah we hit one right before thanksgiving last year and it was around new years that we got it back. Geico were refusing to pay for OEM parts and wanted to use crappy third parties (according to my body shop), so that added a lot of time too. And then they took forever to pay him, so I almost had to pay out of pocket. Switched insurance companies after that

Hit a deer earlier this year in my subaru. Took almost 2 months to fix due to parts availability. Luckily my insurance covered the rental the entire time.
