Man, I remember eating like a King on those Lenten Fridays… so much good food for a great price when you’re young and broke.

St Teresa of Avila used to have a good one for Lent, in Ross Twp.

Kuhns grocery store. I have gotten it there on Friday's not during lent, but it sometimes has been sitting a bit. During lent it does not have time to sit.
Shop n save on Rochester during lent has good fish too. As does the masonic hall at the top of cemetery lane.
When I was growing up, North park lounge was THE place to get fish, but it changed and isn't very good anymore.

shop n save Rochester and Ambridge are owned by the same people. Ambridge would be closer.

Fish Fridays aren't really a thing in Pittsburgh outside of Lent.

E-town Tavern, Etna. North Park Lounge in Mccandless or the Club House in Gibsonia. Grant Bar in Millvale and Middle Road Inn & Casey's in Glenshaw.
Also, just echoing the other's comment here about how it's a bit more popular in lent.
Also also, I used to live up the street from and worked at Sparky's Spot in Shaler back in the day and at that time it would be my first choice. Ya'll gotta get on that cracker meal!

E-Town in Etna, Kretzler's and North Park Lounge. These are year-round.
If you're specifically talking about Lenten fish frys, that's a whole different world.

I read somewhere they will no longer have the fish fry. Too bad too because it was excellent. Same family who bought the bakery, Father and Sons. They have a habit of opening business' that only stick around for a few years and then they go onto something else.

Awww man that’s a huge bummer!

Those were top tier hush puppies too. I’m gonna be in the search for anything that comes close at this rate

Skyview volunteer fire department in west mifflin has been mine and my families favorite lenton fish fry for years now.
Every year I get so excited to go back! Could not recommend it more.
Edit: Only now do I realize that it’s around a half hour drive from the North Hills.

They generally just happen around Lent

I have been out of Pittsburgh for 20 years now but my dad used to take me to fish frys all the time. They were in big open buildings with rows of picnic tables inside. I don’t know the names of the establishments but the generally had a sign out front that said “fish fry”.
I don’t remember any of them being particularly good when I was a kid. But I would absolutely love to go back to one now
