Eh, it's not all that different anywhere else in the US. All cities have their good & bad areas. As far as wages goes, that's more on you IMHO. There are great paying jobs & terrible paying jobs everywhere. Taxes, kinda the same thing, some places have more than others, but there is always a trade off somewhere in the chain.
