Been on the hunt to find a coffee shop that offers more than bakery items for breakfast! I'm absolutely hooked on Mediterra in Mt Lebanon and just haven't found anything quite as good in the city, any suggestions for somewhere comparable?

Tried De Fer and Cafetano so far

Potomac Station Coffeehouse has some good breakfast stuff. Oak Hill Post isn't a coffee shop but they do have coffee and some of the best breakfast I've ever had.

Soul Biscuit, awesome breakfast biscuit sandwiches is at Arriviste on Friday and Sundays and at ADDA (Garfield) on Saturdays.

Also worth noting easily the best breakfast sandwich in Pittsburgh Thyme Machine has La Prima coffee and is right next to a Yinz Coffee and they are open on Thursdays to Sundays.

Ruckus on Babcock Blvd right outside of Millville has a Ruckus Waffle sandwich that is amazing. Bacon egg and cheese on 2 waffles with a cherry chutney so good, very filling. They have a decent sized menu and change it up monthly.

Also Curbside in Blawnox is really great , they are cooking all day and what they have in their ready made section changes pretty frequently. Check out their Instagram for some ideas.

Both shops have fantastic staff!

De Fer has one of the best breakfast sandwiches in the city. They also have great vegan avocado toast if you're into that kind of thing.

Orbis Cafe I hear is pretty good. I like uptown coffee for their desserts though. Mediterra is a little overpriced for my blood.

Ineffable Ca Phe in Lawrenceville. It's a Vietnamese cafe. It offers several hot breakfast options. Breakfast sandwich, Sunny Bahn mi (basically a sunnyside up in a sandwich), and some other rotating options. They open at 8 am. Around 10am, their entire menu opens up!

Stratch in Troy Hill has breakfast everyday. Margaux in in East Liberty has some pretty good options too.

The diner experience at Nancy's in Wilkinsburg is exactly what you'd expect a neighborhood diner to be, except with excellent food. Go there.
