I was gonna say it looks like one hell of a luge or even a ski jump. But waterslide works too!

They're just adding a bike lane to piss off all the out of towners who constantly bitch about bike lanes.

Anybody know how close they are to finishing?

Started in August, supposed to last 4 months.

Consider me skeptical. Would love to have it back because it's made my life much more difficult. That 40 shuttle is ok but it's made the other 40s much less reliable.
I hope I'm wrong.

Here's hoping they also add a way to buy tickets without cash. Tourists coming in for the unique experience and postcard view and being met with surliness because they didn't have exact change is a bad look.

Edit: Now I see this is the Mon, not Duquesne, which I'm not sure has the same system. Still... Fix the Duquesne!

I was able to buy a digital ticket on my phone for the Duq last week and they had a digital scanner to read the QR code. So, sounds like it was recently updated?

The mon has the machines to buy tickets at the bottom and top station. Does the duquesne take the connect card?

CL-MotoTech t1_isxjy1x wrote

The last time I road the Duquesne I used connect card. I got on the T at North Shore station, road to Duq, then used my connect card to head up and back.

It caught me off-guard too. I drove by and then had to turn around to really get a good look at it.

This is still faster on being completed compared to Johnstown’s PA incline. They were doing renovations starting last year and have an ETA on sometime in 2023
