Hey guys,

So I grew up around Coraopolis and now live in the city. I love exploring random things like tunnels, railroad tracks, bridges, abandoned shit. I was curious, has anyone found like a hidden treasure spot or a really cool place to explore around the city? I wanna take a day next weekend to go with a few friends and just chill out and explore something cool.

Best,

Neighbor

It's not "in the city" but I just found out about the Todd nature reserve and can't stop recommending it to people. Looks like skyrim wilderness irl. Beautiful.

Hays Woods has old machinery laying around, still. Lots of area to cover, too.

Just wander around the city. The bike trails. Or the cathedral of learning.

I think Riverview park is pretty underrated in these kind of posts, take a walk around, maybe explore the observatory

To add, the park practically touches Highwood Cemetery which is a beautiful old cemetery with a lot of character. Highwood borders Uniondale Cemetery which has a presence on both sides of Brighton Road and just as beautiful as Highwood.

Have you seen the Westinghouse Atom Smasher near Forest Hills? It is worth a quick stop.
