Triangle is so overrated. It's a bar version of a high school band fundraiser hoagie. The texture of the meat is just wrong.
A solid Italian hoagie in that area can be found at Shelly's Pie in Turtle Creek, or Rudy's or Carhops in Monroeville.

I love fundraiser hoagies. But you can't compare the two unless it comes with a teeny tiny bag of lettuce that turns brown in one day, two tomato slices, and 1 maybe 2 packets of dressing for a >12" hoagie. Topping/condiment scarcity is part of the experience.

carhops steak hoagie, the z-28, is fire. I like the super sport for their italian. that pepper relish is delicious.
the owner and his daughter are always so nice as well. I wish I wanted hoagies more because i only go there a few times a year, but its always great and its nice talking with such nice people.

I used to eat at the Carhops in Monroeville a lot when I worked in the area. The guy at the grill was so nice and the burger was great.

Same. Don't know why people love that place. Probably just because they have that big battleship sandwich. It's the same sandwich that we got in a high school cafeteria in 1992 for lunch.
