Christmas Tree Farms in Pittsburgh (and surrounding areas!)

Hello!

I am hosting my out of state in-laws for the first time here over the week of Thanksgiving, and one thing that my wife had talked about was us getting a real tree from a Christmas tree farm one of the days after Thanksgiving.

Since her family is from Florida, we thought it would be fun to do the whole nine yards and go to a place where you can cut your own tree, have space to walk around a bit, and essentially get some of those Hallmark Christmas movie vibes.

Do any of you guys have a place in mind that fits the bill? We're in Oakmont but are willing to travel a bit.

Definitely not Habe's Nursery in Leechburg. Not really sure if they are selling trees or not but here's a secret, he's been lying to customers and reselling trees for years and not actually growing his own. My deadbeat uncle owns it, he stole hundreds of thousands of dollars from my mother and aunt when he was the executer on my grandmother's estate, he's been excommunicated from our family. If you see this, fuck you John Sterosky.

Wife and I went to Lake Forest Gardens in Fombell last year based on advice of this sub. We had a good experience (though we bought pre-cut) and the prices seemed fairly reasonable. They had a snack bar and wreaths and other things too. It's a bit of a hike but worth it. If there's kids, it's worth stopping at Baldinger's for them, or going to the Zelie airport and watching planes. Plus there's a couple of decent restaurants up there.

Cypher’s is the place. Been going every year for about 8 years on the day after Thanksgiving.

This place is a bit north and I can’t recommend them because we don’t do live trees (maybe someone else on here has gone here) but this is a place north of Pittsburgh that lets you cut your own:

I've been. It's a beautiful farm on a hillside. From recollection, we picked a tree, they gave us a bow saw and a dolly to transport the tree. How it was appraised etc I can't recall. Then there was a small building with refreshments and stuff. Overall nice memory and the kids had fun.
