Thanksgiving was declared after the slaughter of more than 300 indigenous peoples, many woman and children.
Indigenous people were not invited to "the feast". They were, in fact, a war party that was formed when they heard gunshots from the celebration of the feast
I just hope the Chinese buffets open

I found out the hard way that most Chinese places are closed on Thanksgiving. When my son was just over a month old my wife and I decided to forgo taking him out in the cold and just eat Chinese food at home on Thanksgiving and nowhere locally was open.
We didn't try a buffet though, so maybe that'll work.

You mean the Chinese restaurant in Christmas Story was made up?

Christmas is not Thanksgiving?

Well, that’s true.

Was that Thanksgiving? I know Chinese places are usually packed on Christmas.

You’re correct, it was Christmas.
