I cannot recommend the good people at Lap Of Love enough. Very caring, wonderful, professional vets. Sadly, I’ve had to use them twice, but it’s WAY better than taking your pet to the vet for their final moments. Give them a call. They’re angels.

Their phone lines are open from 7 am to 11 pm, according to their website. They can do same day appointments if you’re able to hold out through the night. OP— sending you and your pet love and peace

While I don’t want to say I enjoyed my experience, it was the most comforting peaceful thing for my dog. I highly recommend calling Lap of Love.

lap of love made a painful time better. they were great and when my old boy decided to live another few months, they didn't charge us or give us any issues cancelling and were there when we needed them again. its terrible to say, but i will only use them when the time comes for my other animals.

I used lap of love too. Best decision for my pet since it was at their home and not the vet. It felt more peaceful

I unfortunately had to use at home euthanasia twice as well. Mine was not emergent in either case, so I am unsure if they are available24/7. I was very pleased with pghpetsathome dot com.

I have not encountered this problem myself. I do have a note on my fridge of the only 24/7 vet that I know of that's in the south hills. Perhaps they could help or at least refer you to someone at this hour that could.

If you're north of Pittsburgh (Wexford-ish area) White Rose Mobile Vets is wonderful in this situation.
