I've been to all of them. This is the cheapest and best show by far.

I miss Heartwood Acres. Used to go there every year. Shadracks is where I'm going this year, by Cooper's lake campground

Heartwood Acres was the best, I mourn it every holiday season. Clinton is ok but they mix LED with regular lights and it just looks like a mess!

IMO shadracks is not worth it at all. Everything is too crammed together and the wait is always ridiculous.

Oglebay is pretty nice if you make a day trip out of it!

Don't be like me and take your girlfriend on a date, relying on pre-smartphone Verizon Navigator, and run into her ex husband there, then miss a turn and spend the next 90 minutes driving on dirt roads in WV.

Not a drive thru but this house is a must visit. Also for a good cause.

Idk if they are doing it this year, but there was something at The Galleria at Pittsburgh Mills last year off of route 28

maybe I set expectations way too high for this last year, but it was soooo so bad for the price.

I heard it was absolutely terrible. Didn’t attend myself but I saw lackluster photos.

IMO Shadracks was a bit of a let down. It’s held on a patch of flat terrain, where you can see the entire display from the road. That plus all of the lights are mashed up together.

I really enjoyed the one at the zoo. The pathway is tight but the winding road makes each display stand out instead of feeling like you’re driving through an illuminated blob.

This might be a dumb question but with the zoo do you drive thru the actual zoo? Or is it in the parking lot? Does anyone have any suggestions, I’d be taking an 8 month old. From what I’ve heard overlys you have to walk which wouldn’t be ideal carrying a baby in the cold. He really likes lights so trying to find something that works!

You do drive through the actual zoo. You show your ticket at the parking lot, then head out of the lot and up the hill. You enter via the gate just at the top by the elevators. From there you drive through the zoo. It follows the main path all the way until you reach the path which turns down the hill back towards the tiger enclosure and entrance, where you exit out another gate onto the road.

You never need to leave the car and it is about 30-45 minutes depending on how fast the cars in front of you are going.

The price is per vehicle, not per passenger, so if you have friends you would want to go with, then you can split the cost.

Shadrack's in slippery rock, if you don't mind all the Jesus worshippers
