Why not ask them while you're there? If it's their note that you need ID then they probably know why. Did you report your ID stolen maybe years ago? Maybe because you moved, you need to show once.

Haha I did! Guy said "I don't know I just do what the paper tells me".

It's probably some bad data in their system not getting cleared, like you're in the database as a first time voter.

A coworker of mine got turned away twice today because they have his SSN tied to someone in Washington County (He's in Allegheny). Had to call the Allegheny County voting office and got it fixed in short order.

If you already brought your ID and voted, I'd probably give it a week or so before calling because they're going to be busier than the Zoo on Mothers/Fathers Day

As a note, no matter what reason is given to you, you can always request a provisional ballot. Nobody gets turned away without being able to vote even if it's clear-cut they shouldn't.

Gotta ask one of the old lady's there. They've probably been doing it for decades. In fact my mother-in-law did it for years. She just stopped last year as it was too much and long of a day for her now. I'll ask her.

I asked her. She said when you vote for the first time somewhere you are asked to show ID. She said also first time in a new state voting, you are asked to show ID.

Hmm, maybe there is a glitch. I 100% voted at the same location in 2020. I still remember the plexiglass and masks dealio. I guess if I have to show ID again in 2 years i'll call the election office.
