Anyone recommend a place to purchase new kitchen cabinets?

I would like to renovate our 90s style kitchen, and hoping for a well priced location. I’m in the south hills if that helps.

I’ve ordered custom from both the Orange store and the Blue store, and they were both fine. Most cabinets you order (from anywhere, local shops included) are going to be from one of a few mega manufacturers anyways. Plus they will do the design for free and offer financing.

In my opinion, installation from those places is what will be hit or miss. The few experiences I’ve had with (non-cabinet) installers subcontracted by the big box stores have been less than ideal.

  • Kraftmaid outlet in Ohio if you're up for a true DIY and roadtrip.
  • New choice on Stubenville Pike did our granite and have cabinets as well. We used them for counters only. Their granite price was very competitive and they did good work.
  • I know YQ granite advertises free cabinets with countertop purchase (friend got countertop but no cabinets and work & price was good). -Tracey at Allegheny Millwork is an experienced kitchen designer and does thorough work.

I bought lots of trim from there when I purchased my house. Their prices on trim work are better than the big box stores. How are their prices on cabinets?

Not sure how they compare, but saw a quote from them a few months ago for a quasi commercial/residential kitchen come in at $15,000 after tax.

Full overlay doors, plywood construction, 22’ of base cabinets, 42” full height cabinet and 14’ of wall cabinets.

Price did not include installation and countertops.

Hope that helps give a ball park for you.

I used "M and M Cabinets LLC" for my kitchen and Mike was awesome to work with.

If you want true custom built cabinets I used an Amish shop in Ohio called Alpine Cabinets.

https://alpinecabinets.com/

I wanted inset doors and drawers, which takes a lot of skill, and these guys delivered. It was also affordable for what I got. (not cheap, but so much value)

If you can find them, and wait a while for it to be made, you can probably save 60% by getting the Amish to build them. You'll also need to haul it down yourself, but man, their stuff is nice.
