You can contact Venmo directly about it. I had someone do this to me (and it ended up being a legit accident) and Venmo handled it on their own. They moved the money back to the person and all that.

Thanks for sharing. I’ve contacted them, they assigned an agent who will reach out within 24 hours. The lead up to this was weird tho. Initial request for the money then cancelation then paying me the money and then asking for it back. We shall see
