Any recommendations for wedding reception venues in the area? Fiancé and I really like the vibe of the botanical gardens in Oakdale so anything that feels like that would be perfect. We're talking with the botanical gardens this week, but would like to get some other options ready. The place doesn't need to be able to do the ceremony. Our target is about 150 guests. Would definitely like to stay in the greater Pittsburgh area, but we would look into places that are up to 2 hours away. We have a moderate and somewhat flexible budget. Definitely cannot afford very high end, I guess mid-range pricing is the right idea. Venues that have a lot of services included (food, bar service, tables, chairs, sound system, etc.) not just proving the hall would be preferred but isn't a must have

I got married at the Clemente Museum. Sorry, doesn’t sound like the vibe you are going for, but it’s my only experience. We loved it there.

I’m a member at the Botanic Gardens and it seems like a great spot for a wedding.

Phipps conservatory. Our daughters wedding was there in July. Beautiful!

Just an FYI, at least when we were looking 2 years ago, the botanical gardens had a weird caveat that you could only have 50 seated guests for the ceremony, even though the reception could hold more people

Soldiers and Sailors Memorial Hall has beautiful spaces for rent, ample parking and all the services besides catering (but they're great at working with yours).

Succop Nature Park just off Route 8 north of Pittsburgh. http://www.aswp.org/pages/succop

Friend got married there (outdoors) and had the reception there in a beautiful old mansion. Can't speak to pricing.

My wife and I got married there, and it was beautiful. We used Tallulah’s for the catering and it was great food.

Not botanical gardens but Veltre’s in Oakmont/Plum is a great reception venue. I was there for a friend’s wedding this year and was impressed with the views and the venue itself

Mellon Park / Civic Garden Center? Also, there is a place in Sarver - The White Barn - has nice outdoor spaces. Hartwood Acres garden - my brother-in-law married there years ago in the rose garden.
