How far ahead of your flights were you notified they were cancelled? Flying at 2:00 tomorrow and not sure what to expect.

Also. Waffle House is open 24/7/365.

Jack’s in the South Side is a great Christmas Day hangout. All kinds of folks dodging their family come and go all day.

I bet you could get a ticket to the Steelers game tonight for next to nothing. A lot of people can't go and it's going to be cold AF, but it's the 50th anniversary of the immaculate reception, and they're going to retire the jersey of Franco Harris, God rest his soul. Definitely a once in a lifetime experience

Just saw on twitter Carson street deli is open 11-4 on Christmas. I’d eat lunch there then grab another drink at Jacks

How far are you going? Any chance you could just rent a car and get to your destination? My cousin and her husband just drove up from Florida last night because of the cancelled flights.

If you want to stay near the airport, there are a ton of things to do in robinson. Burgatory is great for gourmet burgers, uncle Sam’s if you want a great hoagie, Thai foon if you like Thai, mad Mex if you went a good margarita and some Cali mex..

I hear you but being from there and that's my primary cooking style, I have to explain that white queso is Tex Mex and our food uses cotija cheese. Just because it's in an oversized tortilla, doesn't make it Cali style. Chipotle does that, too

Mad mex doesn’t serve white queso. They serve beer cheese dip, and use either cotija or Monterrey jack on their burritos.

I didn’t say it was good Cal Mex, but that’s definitely what they’re going for, not Tex Mex.

Jack’s used to do Christmas (and Easter and Thanksgiving) lunch for free for anyone who stops in. It’s been a few years since I’ve been in for it so I’m not sure if they still do.

Burgers sounded really good so I took myself to burgatory for lunch, and I was somehow able to get the last seat on a flight tomorrow morning so I’m at the airport now for the third time. Had to come early because the trains and buses don’t start up in time to make it in the morning. If my flight leaves on time (knock on wood) I’ll have spent 32 hours in this airport over the last 4 days lol
