Just wondering where people have been going for COVID tests. Really bummed to see the Curative website doesn't even offer testing anymore.

Where have you gone? Do you need an appointment? Do they offer rapid tests?

One of the reasons I'm asking is that CVS makes you fill out the whole form to see the appointments.

Just thought I'd see if anyone has any tips.

Thanks in advance for your help.

Yes. I'm still washing my hands too. That's about it. (I guess I'm also avoiding crowds, but honestly that's just because I realized how much I enjoyed not being in crowds.)

Most places that are still doing PCR testing require you to fill in your info before booking/seeing appointment times, but there is generally a lot of availability because there is a low demand for tests.

Places like Walgreens/Rite Aid/Quest/Labcorp are now offering at-home PCR tests that you just pick up and drop off.

This place offers same day PCR and you can see appointments without having to fill out a form.

You can also order at-home molecular tests (PCR-like) from Lucira and Cue.

Dems removed all the Covid funding from the latest government spending bill, despite requests from Biden to leave it in. Unless something else is done to provide additional Covid funds, vaccines, treatments (Paxlovid, etc), and testing that are currently free will go completely to the commercial market at some point in 2023 and everyone (or their insurance) will have to pay out of pocket. That will make it even harder to find or afford a PCR test.

Can you do at home kits or do you need proof of results? Siemens clinitest covid antigen kits are probably best on the market for rapid test and you can get them on Amazon.

I've gone to Arcpoint Labs in the past and would do so again if needed. The intake process was quick and painless and I had the results within an hour.

Medexpress does rapid tests, about all they are good for.

Why are you bummed? If you are mildly sick, does it matter if it is a cold or Covid?
