I just got engaged and wondering any recommendations on venues? Probably around 80-120 people (will tighten the approximation once we start ironing some things out). Not looking for anything wildly expensive.

Appreciate any suggestions!

You need to define what wildly expensive is to you: $500, $5,000, $50,000?

Also any details like inside/outside, catered/food on offer, stage needed.

We did Robin Hill Manor in Moon, I wanna say it was about $500? We had like 80 people, though it was a bit tight.

Succop Nature Park in Butler is where we held our wedding and reception. It was lovely and relatively inexpensive. Had a block of rooms in Cranberry for the guests and there was a shuttle.

I did the same thing in 2019. The venue was perfect and we still get compliments about how beautiful/fun/unique our wedding was

I've been to many weddings at The Fez up in Hopewell. It's fine, food is OK, your typical "and now time for the chicken dance" kind of place.

Was in a wedding at The Lamont (for the view) and I thought the food was the best I've had at a wedding. Being in the wedding party and served first may have had something to do with that.

Hartford Acres is a popular one to the north, but there's been some hubub about neighbors getting nasty about noise issues (reception going past 10, neighbors retaliating and showing up etc).

I can honestly say I've never been to a formal wedding reception that I was like "wow" to. Other than "you spent how much for a 5 hour party?!". I got married up on Lake Erie, had a cookout afterwards, and those drinking pitched tents. To each their own, good luck and congrats

My wife and I liked the idea of having a food truck at our wedding but unfortunately our wedding was during the pandemic so it didn't go as planned. We were going to have it at the Pump House in Homestead and use the Burgh Bites truck; inexpensive and low key. We still ended up using them to cater our wedding, just couldn't have the truck. Amazing food and I'd recommend them in a heartbeat

The National Aviary has recently renovated an area for weddings and receptions.

In addition to the budget and type of venue it would also be good to know what time of the year you are planning the wedding since requirements are so different.
