Oh, how I wish I could still commit to a D&D schedule. My seven year long game I DM'd fell apart in mid 2019 and I've yearned for more ever sense.

oof, seven years is a looong game. 2019 was the start of the great migration to playing dnd online

Yeah, it was an incredible seven years. One of my players was finishing her masters so we held off until she graduated. She graduated, we had two sessions before the world locked down. Then a player went and had a kid. We all agreed it was just over.

The way I run games is more of an improv session. Makes it super hard to make prepared materials for an online game so I just never made the shift.

Ah, yea, from what I have noticed online games play best with maps and visuals to help keep players engaged. Moving from in-person to the online sounds painful.
