Next month is her first birthday I’ll celebrate with my SO since we got married. When sitting down at a restaurant, she’s always been a “nibbler” or a “grazer” or a “Can-I-have-a-taste-of-yours-er”…

So, as her Bday is coming up next month, I’m thinking that taking her to a restaurant (fancy or not) where they do multiple course (small/tiny) “meals” would be a great way to allow her to fully indulge on a whole new level.

I searched within this subreddit and found this POST, but all of the recommended places seem to be temporarily or even permanently closed.

Are there any NEW and STILL OPERATING restaurants that provide a tasting menu?

Thanks in advance!

Twisted Frenchman and Seasons have closed, but Morcilla and Fl. 2 are still open.

I would second, third, and fourth the suggestion of Morcilla. It’s wonderful small plates.

edit: Umami is still open as well and was also mentioned in that thread.

Seasons is reopening in Mount Oliver in the failed Kevin Sousa spot. Will be opening in a week or so

Oh that’s awesome. I only go to eat there once, but it was very good. Excited it’s coming back.

Gi-Jin comes to mind if she likes sushi. They have a lot of small plates in addition to the raw fish selections that I think allows to try a nice variety of things.

This is more sushi but the omakase at Mola is great. Plus they can cater it to your price range.

Omakase at Umi sounds like it may fit the bill. They are closed for winter break until 2/14/23 however. I liked it better than Mola’s omakase by far!
