If it’s too cold to do stuff, I’d recommend upgrading your coat and boots. This is a great time of year for clearance sales on winter technical gear.

I’m not saying it’s any fun on a rainy day, but getting out for a walk really helps me with the winter blues.

I think this year is the one where I don't shovel the sidewalk and parking spots a single time this winter.

Why? Because I bought a new snow blower in October. And I won't get to use it a single time this year.

This beats yesterdays post when someone cried about it being too sunny.

Thank god I was at least born in 2000 and got to see a few significantly snowy winters

I've never had them either and will likely never get them. I can work from home quite easily and they do a pretty solid job of cleaning the streets quickly where I live. Also as winters like this one show, it's just not consistently cold and snowy enough here to make them worth it. This isn't the Lake Erie snow belt or Montreal.

Oh I remember 2010 too. But before that, we hadn’t had snow like that since 1993. If you look at the historical snowfall, the past few years haven’t been significantly less than what has happened since the 1800s.

I just think the whole “winter isn’t how it used to be” is hyperbole. Winter hasn’t changed all that much in 200 years here.

I've been enjoying the chillier days but I was hoping to get to see a bit more proper snow my first winter here! Still, I've seen more snow even this relatively tame winter than I have in multiple combined winters back in TN so it's something! But I've got some big, thick socks, duck boots, an insanely warm coat and wanted a chance to really be out there in the thick of it!

If it's not gonna be cold and snowing, just give me spring. The 40s are annoying. It's not warm but not cold, just muddy and gross.

I put my winter tires on a few weeks ago, guaranteeing we will not have any more snow or sub freezing days this year. But I had my worn all seasons on around Xmas and after sliding all over the place decided it was time.
