Over the last few years, my partner and I have been to Eddie Merlot's, Altius, Alta Via, Fogo de Chao, Morton's, Butcher in the Rye, and Meat and Potatoes for Valentine's Day and other special dinners out. I am at a loss of where to choose this year, but Im looking for something different. Any recommendations would be appreciated!

Which are your favorites from where you have been previously? I was thinking Meat and Potatoes for this year.

Eddie Merlot’s has always been the best dressed crowd of my V-Day dinners.

Velazios downtown is nice and sort of quaint but the grand concourse or like Max's Allegheny tavern if you're looking for folky.

Monterey Bay on Mt Washington has good food and a nice view of the city. Willow in the north hills is also very nice and has a cozy, romantic atmosphere.

Former bartender and server: Don't go on Valentines Day. There's usually an overpriced, mediocre prix fixee menu, the place will be packed, and it won't be the lovely, intimate experience you're aiming for. Celebrate your LO a couple days before or after. Food and service will be better and you won't feel rushed so they can turn the table for the next reservation. Wishing you all the best, Homie!

Pusadees, but it’s too late for you to get a reservation there
