REI has a grip of used gear, not a ton but not a little.

Nothing that I know of in RI. REI in Cranston has their section of returned items for sale.

If you're ever up north, definitely stop into IME in North Conway - they have a big consignment section in the basement. Ragged Mountain Equipment, just up the road in Intervale, also has consigment stuff in their basement.

Outdoor Gear Exchange, I think? Loved it and plan to go back this summer.

Yep that's the place; thanks for looking up its name for me!

I didn’t, I just hoped I remembered right after like a decade, ha! It was a lot of fun - I know they had a lot of paddle and climbing gear for me to check out back then.

Moved here from CO. I also need the consignment gear fix. In the meantime there’s: R/geartrade

Do it where you go. I just moved back from to RI from CO and I know the pain. I mostly go hiking, camping or climbing in New Hampshire so I always set some time aside to go the outfitters there. Small outdoor enthusiast towns will have the best prices. Look in Lincoln or Conway
