Hello! My engagement + wedding rings could use a thorough cleaning, and I'm looking for a reputable jewelry spot to get them shined up. Anyone have a place they go to have this done that they'd recommend? I know plenty of jewelry stores do it and I'm happy to pay for it (some do it for free for people who bought their rings there, but mine weren't bought here) but I can't get a single place to return an email or call about drop-ins/appointments/etc. Thanks in advance!

I bought my wedding band at the Diamond Bar on wickenden and they cleaned my engagement ring for free and offered to do so again before the wedding. Sabrina is one of the owners and she is lovely!

What are the rings made of? Depending on the metal type you can do it at home, using simple chemistry, and have sparkling clean rings in no time.

FWIW platinum is easily cleaned in a solution of cold water and ammonia in a 1:1 ratio. Let it sit for 30 minutes and use a soft bristle toothbrush for residual tarnish. My wedding band stays blindingly shiny :) (I clearly have no jeweler recommendations - happy hunting!)
