Looking for the best restaurants in providence and Rhode Island area. Everything from the fine dining expensive, to the mom and pop places that make 1-2 things really well.

Asian bakery if you want to eat or try bahn mi (vietnamese sandwich)
Hemenway's just for their clam chowder. Other food is good but I think overpriced so unless you want for special occasion
Chomp and/or Harry's bar & burger for well burgers
Pickerel has decent ramen
Y noodle bar for a bit upscale (with price to match) Asian fusion
Y shabu shabu for decent all you care to eat hot pot
And many more I'm sure but that is what quickly comes to mind. This is broad question and with restaurants personal preferences play a big role

My husband and I had an enjoyable date night recently at Persimmon. Bayberry Beerhall is right around the corner from our house. The food is really good there.

May I suggest La Piñata on Westminster Providence..not fine dining but if you like authentic family style Mexican food...this your place. Reasonably priced delicious food. The house margarita is ideal. On Wednesday’s and Saturday’s they have a Mariachi band. The staff is wonderful and they don’t mind special orders. Good luck!
