I’ve assumed it was highway construction but then saw previous comments about scrap ships in the port. I didn’t think of that and I guess it makes sense — but wouldn’t it sound more like crashing noises? This sounds more like deep droning noises from where I am.

I noticed it at midnight and then again at two, as well as times in the past.

I wished it was but I think I can distinguish a car engine going 100+ down the high way. This was pretty unknown to me. Some may say construction but I have been there and it didn't sound like (Might be a new machine I have not heard of before, who knows), and others said it was the dental dump in the port or something like that. I have been in Prov for about 10 years now, I would know known that sound by now. I think it's aliens and we all going to die.

I don't know if it's the same sound, but I've been hearing an odd sound in Pawtucket tonight, that's maybe coming from the direction of Providence. It sounds like if you shake a piece of sheet metal. Kind of like this video

I hear it, a rhythmic whooshing over the entire sports complex area. Definitely not the wind.

That has to be the biggest piece of metal to be making that sound holy crap
