Best places to sell a junker car?

I have a very old car (2010 VW Golf) that runs, but has several quirks (A/C doesn't work, roof upholstery needs work). I'm looking to just sell it at this point, does anyone have suggestions for where to sell (CarMax v. a dealership)?

find a boat launch point, use a brick on the gas pedal and tell the insurance company none of the stuff you mentioned here.

You’d make more money by selling it privately. A dealer probably wouldn’t give you anything for it. List it on marketplace or Craigslist and take whatever you can get.

CarMax gave me 6000 in trade for my car that KBB’d at 4000, definitely worth checking out what they offer you. They offered way more money than anyone else when I bought my car last month.
