It's such a bummer that this doesn't get updated properly. The whole point is to show support or celebrate something but then most people have no idea what that thing is.
It's often lit with different colors to celebrate or acknowledge something.
Steady red, rain ahead…
Wait that’s not right.
What color was it? It’s national eating disorder awareness week this week and I know they lit it up last year for that
Past 2 nights it's been a pretty blue. In 6 months I have not met a single RIslander who knows meaning of the color scheme in general. I find it humorous but the capitol is pretty
Each color configuration is code for emergency instructions for how to avoid the tasteless, odorless, colorless poison gas that has penetrated our atmosphere.
So you just have to follow the instructions or else you might die.
LOL. I like the silly humor here. Mass people take themselves & their state too seriously
as you can see by the downvotes, that is very much true in here as well

Hahaha this is actually true
My guess is that it’s the colors from the National terrorist threat level. Download the color guide from dept of homeland security.
It could be for women’s history month. I know the official colors are purple, green, and white so it’s possible the blue you see is meant to be purple. Just a guess though

In theory, the RI State House lightings should be available on their website. In practice, not so much.
