Duplicate speeding ticket?

Just moved to western MA, and working in Providence. Got two tickets in the mail from a speed limit camera in Providence.

But they’re from the same exact date and time. They literally use the same pictures but are different file #s.

Do I have to pay both still? Or do I have to go to court?

There are two cameras on Hope St. Are you sure they're not separated by like 45 seconds or something?

I don’t think so, I’ve walked by it and I’ve only seen the one. And the ticket just does hour and minute so they both say 8:36 am

You could appeal them both, hope to get on the docket in back to back cases, and get a Groucho Marx fake nose and glasses thing and hope Caprio is your judge.

They generally send one via regular Mail, one via Certified. If the ticket numbers match, you’re good - it’s the same ticket.
