New to the area looking for an alternative to Starbucks for people watching, good strong coffee and that is open later than 7pm.

New Harvest is a good bet. Also-- not a Starbucks-like cafe per se, but Tea in Sahara has a nice evening vibe and if you like strong coffee you'll probably like Turkish coffee, right?

Aroma Joe's on Thayer st has been open a few times when everywhere else was closed. Their coffee is ok, but not amazing imo.

Used to love going in there for a cup of coffee and a sweet and am disappointed they haven’t opened it back up completely yet.
Call me what you will but it feels a bit overdone at this point.
